Britney Spears Wears Sexy Backless Dress, Parties With Fiance Jason Trawick

Britney Spears made a rare red carpet appearance to help City of Hope honor Halston CEO Ben Malka with the Spirit of Life Award in L.A. October 10. Joined by Jason Trawick, 40, her fiance of 10 months, the X Factor judge looked statuesque in a backless, sequined Halston gown. A toned and tanned Spears, 30, completed her look with YSL shoes and Alexis Bittar jewelry.

Though Spears turned heads at the event, she's much less glam in her everyday life. "I love my jeans and my sweats," she recently told ELLE. "I'm really just a tomboy at heart. So it's really hard for me to be like Kim Kardashian and be makeup- and hair-ready every time I go out of my house. I'm not a believer in that, you know?"

"On the other hand," she added, "when you do wear those sweats, you're like, 'Oh God, I should step it up a notch.'"

Colin Farrell Talks Fatherhood Woes, Benefits of His Sobriety

Colin Farrell may not think he's the best father in the world, but he's certainly trying his best.
"Not knowing what the f-ck I'm doing as a dad is huge. I don't know what I'm doing, and that's a very liberating thing. You just go, 'Oh look, there's sh-t on the floor.' There's actually sh-t on the floor -- I have a picture of it on my phone. So what do you do? You clean it up, put a diaper on his ass, and that's that," Farrell says of raising a toddler. "It's just about being present for these guys."

Farrell split with Bachleda in mid-2010, and between taking care of a toddler and shooting a series of movies, the actor admits he hasn't "been in a relationship in a while. [It's been] two and a half years since I was with Henry's  mother. If I ever do get involved with somebody again, I will try as much as possible to shut my f-cking mouth and stay f-cking present. Love in action, man! Not love in f-cking words."

The Irish star, 36, was once married to  British actress Amelia Warner; it lasted four months. "I had a brief liaison with the notion of permanence," Farrell says of their ill-fated union, which ended in 2001.

The Dublin native entered rehab in 2006 and hasn't looked back since. "Honestly," he says, "I've got eight hours a day now that I didn't have before, when I was drinking every day for 18 years."

Being clean has also helped Farrell appreciate the world in ways he'd never imagined.
"I've never seen a moon in the sky that, if it didn't take my breath away, at least misplaced it for a moment," he tells Details. "When I was living a different way, I was probably profoundly bored. I had moments of elation. Now I never get f-cking bored. I get excited about room service menus! I really do. Even though the french fries are soggy as f-ck and I still haven't figured out an exact way to open up that Heinz mini jar -- sometimes it's my nails, sometimes it's my teeth. I'm just grateful that I'm actually alive, to be honest."

Brazil will be ready for 2014 World Cup - Ronaldo

Former Brazil striker Ronaldo believes his country will put on a "fantastic" World Cup in 2014 despite "turbulent times" for the organising committee.
Brazil has come under criticism from Fifa for delays in the construction of stadiums, transport infrastructure and hotels for the tournament.
England continue their campaign to qualify for the tournament by taking on San Marino on Friday, while Wales face Scotland at Cardiff City Stadium and the Republic of Ireland play Germany.
Speaking to BBC sports news correspondent Dan Roan, the Brazil legend says the country will "absolutely be ready" for the tournament.

Rooney: 10 years with England but still unfulfilled

Wayne Rooney moves towards his 10th England anniversary still searching for total fulfilment as an international away from his successes at Old Trafford with Manchester United.
If elite players are defined by their contributions to major tournaments, then England's most naturally gifted footballer has yet to fully secure his place in his country's gallery of greats.
Rooney is not alone in his frustration as England's success remains limited to the sunlit afternoon in July 1966 when the late Bobby Moore was carried shoulder-high holding the Jules Rimet trophy at Wembley after the World Cup final win against West Germany.
And yet for a stellar talent, who was given his first cap by Sven-Goran Eriksson at 17 years 111 days on 12 February 2003 in a 3-1 defeat by Australia at Upton Park, Rooney will know the next World Cup may be his last chance to make that indelible mark.

Rooney's England record is perfectly respectable, with 29 goals from 76 games, but he knows there are spaces left to fill. No-one is more determined to make that leap than the 26-year-old, with a drive that has occasionally carried his game and character to the edge when representing England.
The teenage Rooney illuminated Euro 2004 in Portugal as an Everton player, then fell short and ended his World Cup two years later with a quarter-final red card against the Portuguese in Gelsenkirchen. He only captured the headlines in South Africa in 2010 with some ill-judged abuse of England fans fired into a television camera after a goalless draw with Algeria in Cape Town.

Bad News Bears Remake Star Sammi Kane Kraft Dies in Car Crash at Age 20

Sammi Kane Kraft, the real-life baseball player who portrayed Amanda Whurlitzer in the 2005 remake of Bad News Bears, died in a car accident in Los Angeles, E! News reports.

The athlete and actress was 20 years old. Authorities told E! that Kraft was the passenger in an Audi "traveling at a high rate of speed" when it rear-ended a big rig and was then hit by another car. Kraft was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The driver, 21-year-old Molly Kate Adams, survived with moderate injuries, and was arrested for suspected felony drunk drinking.

Kraft played the tomboy character originated by Tatum O'Neal in the original 1976 Bad News Bears.

"I could never fill Tatum O'Neal's shoes," Kraft (who had a 70 mph fastball) said in 2005, "but I tried to make the role my own."

California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

Chinese author Mo Yan wins Nobel Prize for Literature

Chinese author Mo Yan has been awarded the 2012 Nobel Prize for literature.
A prolific author, Mo has published dozens of short stories, with his first work published in 1981.
The Swedish Academy praised his work which "with hallucinatory realism merges folk tales, history and the contemporary".
The 57-year-old is the first Chinese resident to win the prize. Chinese-born Gao Xingjian was honoured in 2000, but is a French citizen.
Mo is the 109th recipient of the prestigious prize, won last year by Swedish poet Tomas Transtroemer.
Presented by the Nobel Foundation, the award - only given to living writers - is worth 8 million kronor (£741,000).
"He has such a unique way of writing. If you read half a page of Mo Yan you immediately recognise it as him," said Peter Englund, head of the Academy.
He said Mo had been told of the award, adding: "He was at home with his dad. He said he was overjoyed and terrified."
Born Guan Moye, the author writes under the pen name Mo Yan, which means "don't speak" in Chinese.
He began writing while a soldier in the People's Liberation Army (PLA) and received international fame in 1987 for Red Sorghum: A Novel of China.

Beyonce quits A Star is Born remake

US singer Beyonce Knowles has quit director Clint Eastwood's remake of Oscar-winning rock musical A Star is Born.
She told E! News in a statement: "For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible."
She added: "Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together."
The film is an updated version of the 1976 movie starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.
It tells the story of Streisand's up and coming female singer who falls in love with an established rock star, played by Kris Kristofferson, only to find her career on the rise whilst his fades.
The film won five Golden Globes, while Streisand's song Evergreen was rewarded with an Oscar.
Previously, the story had twice been filmed as a drama - with Janet Gaynor playing an aspiring actress in the 1937 original, and Judy Garland and James Mason taking the leads in the 1954 version.
Knowles's departure has left Eastwood's project with no female or confirmed male lead. At the time of writing, Warner Bros had not commented on the situation.
But according to trade magazine Variety, Eastwood has expressed some interest in jazz musician Esperanza Spaulding taking over from Knowles.
The film's script is being written by screenwriter Will Fetters - who wrote the 2010 film Remember Me, starring British actor Robert Pattinson.
Knowles recently lent her voice to the forthcoming animation Epic, co-starring Colin Farrell and Aerosmith's Steve Tyler

Barack Obama Facebook campaign sees 'likes' soar

US President Barack Obama has enjoyed a surge in Facebook "likes", thanks to a co-ordinated social media campaign.
His team paid for "Sponsored Stories" to appear in some users' Facebook news feeds - regardless of whether they wanted to receive them.
President Obama's page received more than one million "likes" in a single day - compared with about 30,000 per day in earlier weeks.
But some observers warned the approach could frustrate and dissuade voters.
It comes at a time when both President Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney are stepping up their efforts on social media.
The opponents each have a presence on a host of digital communities, including streaming music service Spotify, image-sharing network Pinterest and the Facebook-owned picture network Instagram - where Mr Romney has been busy posting pictures of himself at home with his family.

She's become known for her love of skimpy outfits and striking make-up as one of the country's most high profile WAGs.But Helen Flanagan cut a very different figure as she stepped out make-up free near her home in Cheshire on Wednesday.
The normally glam former Corrie star loves to get dressed up but she was obviously having an off day as she made her way through her hometown of Prestbury, covering herself up in a large patchwork poncho.

The Cruz family has always claimed - PHOTO

From DailyMail.co.uk
The Cruz family has always claimed they have a great relationship, and it seems they really are as close as they say.
The famous siblings took time out of their hectic schedule to catch up with each other over a meal.
Penelope, 38, Mónica, 35 and Eduardo, 27, met up in a restaurant in Madrid on Tuesday evening, where they were joined by Penelope's husband Javier Bardem.

The famous siblings were all casually dressed for the family affair.
Penelope wore an all denim attire of grey jeans, denim jacket and a black T-shirt, as Eduardo showed off his tattooed arms in a black print shirt.
Mónica seemed to be the most dressed up in the family, as she made an effort with a suede coat that she teamed up with the trendy Isabel Marant high-tops.

The famous acting couple left their 20-month-old baby Leo at home as they took the opportunity to catch up with their family over a meal.
They probably had a lot to talk about, as brother Eduardo recently broke up with Eva Longoria after a two-year on-off relationship, and the pretty actress has since moved on with New York Jets star Mark Sanchez.
The siblings even like to keep their work in the family, as composer Eduardo recently provided the soundtrack to Penelope's new film Twice Born.

The actress has been shying away from the limelight since the birth of her son Leo, and says she likes to take more time to pick movies these days.
'More and more I try to be more picky with my selection. I am now able to choose the work I do, which I don't take for granted,' she recently told The Guardian.
She also starred opposite her husband Javier, 43, in The Counselor, but Penelope claims they work on their schedules so one of them is always with baby Leo.
'We don't have any scenes together', she told The Independent. 'Always one of us can be working and the other one is free. So for our family it's better.'
Javier Bardem is also set to make his debut as a James Bond villain in Skyfall. Meanwhile sister Mónica, who is also an actress, has been starring in the popular Spanish television series Águila Roja.

Lisa Whelchel, who will perhaps forever be known to us as Blair from "The Facts of Life," is now living the single life.

I just never thought it would happen to me," Whelchel told People of the dissolution of her marriage to Steve Cauble. "It was painful to realize it wasn't going to work out.
Whelchel and Cauble were involved in Christian ministry after "The Facts of Life" wrapped up in 1988, and have three children together. Although they're no longer married, they'll "always be friends," Whelchel said.

Oh You Pretty Thing! Iman reveals too much boob on red carpet in see-through dress

IMAN makes a red carpet boob in a sheer dress which clearly shows too much.

David Bowie’s missus revealed her chest in the transparent charcoal number as she stepped out at New York City Ballet’s Annual Fall Gala last night.

But the model mum showed she was still on impressive form at the age of 57, flaunting a perfect figure in the floor-length backless gown.

Golden years ... Iman looks stunning at ballet bash

She gave the simple outfit a sparkling twist with cluster of chunky bracelets and and a diamond bow hairclip.

An enigmatic smile lit up her unlined face, which could belong to a woman 20 years younger.

The Somalian beauty married rock legend David in 1992 and they have a 12-year-old daughter, Alexandria.
