'So awkward': Cheryl Cole describes how Nicole Scherzinger sang Promise This at their first meeting

 

They spent an evening in the same night club just last week suggesting the pair might have patched things up after Nicole Scherzinger usurped Cheryl Cole on the X Factor USA.
But the former Pussycat Doll might not be so eager to have any relationship with Cheryl at all after details of their first meeting were described by the Geordie singer as 'so awkward'.
In a page from new book My Story which leaked on Twitter, Cheryl explains how the pair first met backstage on the talent show when she was a judge on the UK version of the show.

The Call My Name singer described the meeting as 'really embarrassing' and reveals that Nicole sang her track Promise This back to her.
In the book she says: ‘I swear to God the woman sang the whole song, to my face.It was just so awkward.'
Cheryl likens it to performing Baby One More Time up to Britney Spears and notes: 'Can you image how weird that would be?'

Despite the revelations Nicole managed to put on a smile as she stepped out in London last night.
The singer, 34, donned a fierce outfit consisting of a black biker jacket, jeans with leather panels and a pair of sky high ankle boots.
Yesterday Nicole took to Twitter to post a religious quote to speak of her strength.

Date night: Cheryl and Tre were seen enjoying dinner in Mayfair

Cheryl was also out last night enjoying dinner with boyfriend Tre Holloway after filming an interview with Alan Carr for his Chatty Man show.
The singer is busy with her solo tour and she is planning to reunite with her Girls Aloud bandmates later this year.
