Steve Irwin's son follows his father (Photo)

Steve Irwin’s son shows he’s a real chip off the old block as he feeds crocodiles at his late dad’s zoo.

Eight-year-old Robert fed freshwater crocs publicly for the first time at Australia Zoo in Queensland today.

With a mop of blonde hair, the little lad looked like a mini version of his famous Crocodile Hunter dad as he threw bait to the snappy customers.

And mum Terri Irwin says Robert is becoming more like his dad every day.

She said: “I’m so proud of Robert, he’s growing up to be a chip off the old block.”

The milestone is a step up from feeding American alligators and a step towards feeding saltwater crocs, something Steve was renowned for.

Family favourite Steve was killed, aged just 44, by a stingray as he swam off the coast of Australia in 2006.
He was just a tiny tot when Steve was pictured holding him with one arm while feeding a 12ft saltwater croc with a dead chicken with the other.
